Election for Congressional District Delegates

Question:   Who elects Delegates to the Democratic National Convention?

Answer:       WE DO!    Calling all Democrats!

On Sunday, May 1, 2016, Democrats in our region are encouraged to vote in the “District-Level Pledged Delegates Election.” You may attend the Caucus in your Congressional District in which each Congress member will be granted a pre-determined number of Delegates.   (in Adam Schiff’s district, seven Delegates will be elected.) By the end of the process, the CA Democratic Party will have added 317 District-Level Delegates and 30 Alternates to the crowd of other Convention Delegates, Pledged and Unpledged.

NOTE: In order to vote in the May 1 District-Level caucus election, you must be a registered Democrat, and select only one caucus in which to vote.
