Speaker: Ivan Light

Professor Emeritus of Sociology at UCLA. He received the Distinguished Career Award from the International Migration Section of the American Sociological Association (ASA) in 2000. His “Deflecting Immigration” received the ASA Best Book Award in 2006. Professor Light has published many articles and books dealing with immigration to the United States, organized crime, and American social history.

“Deadly Secret of the Lusitania” is his first novel.

  • LACDP County Committee endorsement vote: A slate of 7 candidates has asked for our endorsement (our members Carol Fodera & Vickere Murphy are among the 7).
